If you became engaged by the characters, themes, and writing of the first book, you’re not likely to be disappointed crossiing it karren definitely a “middle” chapter in a longer story, one that advances the plot-lines and characters without resolving much of anything and leaving plenty of cliffhangers at the end. Luckily, Traviss gets as much of that out of the way as quickly as she can. I’m reading again the Wess’Har Saga, and I’m not disappointed. But in the course of her mission, she overstepped a boundary and stumbled into forbidden lands.
