On leaving academia he became a novelist, writing archaeological thrillers derived from his own background. I received my bachelor’s degree in history. I can only imagine the writing gets better, but I won’t be checking it out. His publications on ancient shipwreck sites have appeared in scientific journals, books and popular magazines. However, the core essence of fiction for me is to be mildly educated on a subject and supremely entertained by it. If you want to read about Atlantis, be prepared to wait, and wait. Well, this is the hazard of buying a book by its cover. The ref to the Phaistos disk was not really about the VMs, just unbelievable coincidences. We are experiencing technical difficulties. After another 80 pages altantis so I was hoping the pace would pick up and halfway through I gave up.

But the mode of presentation is awkward and clumsy. Nick, I have to say your posts are my favourite bed-time reading. Characters have to be multi-dimensional and go through changes either positively or negatively somehow within the course of the novel. It seems likely there will be significant things found preserved in that brine. I’ve read only negative reviews.
