Logistics comprises the means and arrangements which work out the plans of strategy and tactics. His ideas, as taught by professor Dennis Qar Mahan permeated the Academy and shaped the basic military thinking of its graduates. At one point, he emphasizes the importance of “lines”–interior lines, where one side has a more artt line and can move troops from one point to another with greater facility than the enemy; exterior lines, which are longer.
