Everyone should take up this study, the second most pragmatic subject of the soft-sciences. I don’t believe it is at all misplaced though it did lead to several more book purchases. Munger, like Franklin before him, has varied interests and is insanely curious. I will say this book is now added to my favorite list.
It makes for an easy quick read, thought provoking – though some financial terms and business school methods are esoteric and therefore far beyond those who are not in the investment business. The ” Lollapalooza Effect ” is Munger’s term for the confluence of multiple biases [ citation needed ] ; according to Munger, the tendency toward extremism results from such confluences.
Charlie is simply brilliant, and this book is a fantastic summary of his views. So much wisdom condensed in a book.
Here’s a representative exhortation to college students: I had no idea how much I would love this book. Want to Read saving…. He is so confident fast in everything. He finds that in order to be effective in life we must embrace learning from multiple aljanac, engineering, economics, psychology and so on.
